I can see it needs some work to go with my theme. I was under the impression it would not show up as a regular post in my blog but it did based on the category I chose to throw it in. Guess I'll have to give it its own category and exclude the category from my navigation. Not what I expected but I still like the ability to put little asides in my sidebar.
Okay…fixed it. Switched category to "uncategorized" and eliminated "uncategorized" from my navigation menu. Not sure if I'll keep it…thought I might use it for off topic comments I don't care to categorize.
